Spinach Fritters (Palak Pakora)

             A tastier (and yes, a wee bit oilier) twist to Popeye's health booster :D




Ingredients:
Spinach leaves(washed, chopped into small pieces)

Oil (I used sunflower oil) for deep frying
2 tsp chili powder (add more/less to taste)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp carom seeds
1/4th tsp asafoetida powder
salt to taste
2 cups gram flour 

Steps:
1. Mix together the cut leaves, chili powder, turmeric powder, carom seeds, asafoetida powder, salt, gram flour to get a semi-thick batter.

2. Take teaspoon sized portions of the batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown ( 2-4 mins)

3. Serve hot with tomato sauce :)
