The Chocolate Wrapper Card
Hi everyone :)
So this is a card for when Christmas is round the corner… Heigh HO!
You'all can also use this idea for other cards.
You'all can also use this idea for other cards.
1. Collect chocolate/biscuit wrappers. The more colorful, the better. Cut them randomly, into smaller pieces. Now take an A4 sized paper and glue them all on to it. ( Apply glue liberally onto the wrapper pieces, otherwise they keep peeling off the A4 sheet). Your end product should be something like what is seen in the picture.
2. Take card paper… approximately A3 sized. Pick your favorite color. (However do remember… if you are using a card paper of a light color then it’ll be best if the wrappers are mainly in dark shades… and vice versa)
3. Fold the card paper in half. Now on one side, write merry x’mas in bold. (The alphabets should be as basic and as big as possible… this will aid the cutting)
4. Now cut out the alphabets from the card paper as shown in the picture.
5. Cut the A4 sheet with the wrappers stuck to it to fit behind the side of the card paper with the letters cut out.
6. Stick the A4 sheet behind the side of the card paper with the letters cut out. So, you should aim for something that’ll look like the picture…
7. So the major part (decorating the front is done… you can highlight the edges of the alphabets with a sketchpen… I think it looks a lot neater that way) is done.
8. Now for the ‘inside the card’ part:
a.) I stuck in a chocolate bar… coz I think looking at all those chocolate wrappers makes one yearn for them
b.) Since I’m making this a Christmas-cum- new year card, I’m writing ‘Happy new year’ too.
c.) Similarly, I’m using two sets of wishes… write each of them on separate small sheets of paper. (The size of the ‘new year wishes page’ should be larger than the ‘christmas wishe page’)
d.) Now, paste the ‘new year wishes page’ onto the card.
e.) Paste a corner of the ‘christmas wishes page’ onto the ‘new year wishes page’.
So, do try it out…make em go ‘Goodness Gracious!! What a card!!!’
Loads of love
