Yarn Orbs !!!

Yarn orbs are cheap and easy to make and they look so pretty. So let’s learn how to make them

Things you will need:

• Wool in 2 or 3 different colors
• Few balloons
• Glue or all purpose flour
• Tape
• Scissor

Steps:

Step 1 : Start by blowing the balloon to the size you want it to be.

Tip: Use a balloon that will give round shape instead of oblong or other shape 

Step 2 : Now apply glue or all purpose flour on the balloon. Apply it generously.

If you are using all purpose flour then you have to add boiling water to flour. The consistency should be thick like seen in the image.

Tip: Applying too much glue can cause white remains on the wool after it is dried completely and applying too less glue will not give you proper shape once it is dried.

Step 3 : Now tape the start of the wool to the balloon to hold it in place. Tape near the balloon knot

Start winding the wool around the balloon .Continue doing this till the time almost all the balloon is covered with wool.

Leave some space near the balloon knot as you will need to remove balloon from here after the wool is dried completely

Tip: The strength of the orbs will depend on the amount of glue applied and the wool wound.

Step 4 : You can apply a thin coat of glue or all purpose flour on you balloon after you wind balloon with wool for extra strength ;)

Let it dry completely. When it Is dried completely the balloon inside starts to shrink. You can pull out the balloon from inside it by slowly separating the wool from the sides of the balloon.
