USA (Sedona-GrandCanyon)

It was a fun long weekend. Spring break from school, a bunch of old friends and home-made food makes my day. Impromptu plans for a short tour was made and we set the next day for our Sedona-Flagstaff-Grand-Canyon trip. To make an exciting and a fun trip all you need is good company. Right from the road trips to enjoying the cyclonic winds at the Canyon to returning back at midnight facing a snowfall with thunder and lightning, we laughed all the way.

Day 1: Sedona
We had limited time and loads of places in mind. We drove through Sedona and watched the city view while enjoying the starry night sky at Sedona. City views are mesmerizing. The higher you go, higher is the excitement level.
We then drove ahead and stayed at Flagstaff, because it happens to have cheaper motels. We had planned to leave for the Grand Canyon South Rim the next day so we couldn’t really look around Flagstaff. We went to the Lowell Observatory only to see that they weren’t doing sky gazing that time as it had gotten cloudier. Flagstaff we shall come again!

Day 2: Grand Canyon South Rim + Horseshoe bend
A quick breakfast at our motel and we set for our day tour. Our first stop was the Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim where we had time to walk parts of the South Rim trail and enjoy the amazing view of the Grand Canyon. Many people trek their way to the lowest point of the Canyon from here and then back again.

Our next stop was the horse-shoe bend with the spectacular sight of the Colorado River. The weather was super windy in-here. It was windy right from where we parked our car to where we walked here. We thought we’d fly away. :D Such places remind me of how breathtaking the world is, and how it never fails to sooth us.
